Penney leads all aspects of marketing, loyalty and communications for Calgary Co-op. In her time, she led the redesign of the membership program including the implementation of a loyalty program and member exclusive app environment. Calgary Co-op is one of North America’s largest retail cooperatives, with top line sales in excess of $1.3B and over 400,000 member-owners. It operates grocery, pharmacy, liquor, cannabis, fuel and home healthcare locations in Calgary, Canada. Penney serves as the Chair of the Calgary Co-op Community Foundation, which in 2024 donated over $2.8M in food and funds to local charity partners. She holds a B. Sc. (Biology) and an MBA from Memorial university of Newfoundland.
